  • Development of a universal data acquisition system with control functions based on the analog-to-digital converter

    Abstract: Operation of motor transport and special equipment is carried out in difficult conditions, the impact of environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dust, wind, solar radiation) and changes in modes of operation of the machine. This affects the performance of equipment, the number and complexity of repairs. Away from fixed bases (in the field), the problem is particularly acute repairs. One of the most energy-intensive and expensive works are welding (welding parts with a break, welding cracks, fusing metal layer on the worn surface, metal cutting). In this work the welding equipment affect the voltage drops in the supply mains, therefore, produces a large number of failures such equipment. After the equipment is accompanied by an increased amount of electric power consumption, this results in material costs. Previously proposed equipment has improved mass, which reduces the efficiency of the welding. Based on this study was proposed innovative design welding inverter using the resonance effect, with enhanced reliability, low-cost design version (in terms of mass production). In order to improve the reliability and reduce the cost of the proposed design of inverter proposed a number of new approaches. Full-bridge inverter is studied welding power source with the implementation of the resonance effect with a stable and smooth operation, high reliability, because the circuit of the inverter is not sensitive to changes in the supply voltage.

  • Developing a sliding blade snowplow

    based on an analysis of the methods and schemes snow removal from roads and sidewalks it revealed that there is a snow plow, which would be cleaned in a single pass only the side of the road in the middle of the road cleared. At the same time to solve this problem are also two cars. In accordance with this work set a goal: increasing productivity snowplows. To explore this issue were based on the analysis of working bodies of snow plows developed and investigated a new type of dump actuator for snow removal from roads. It was determined that there is an additional resource to increase machine productivity. This is achieved by improving the design of the working body. This will not increase the resistance of the machine, because proposed symmetrical design with rotating blade and sliding half, which will reduce the resistance and to ensure stability.

  • Modeling of heat recovery system of internal combustion engine and special motor vehicles

    A significant number of units and special motor vehicles operated in a low freezing temperatures of the Far North and the Arctic. Preserving the art in these conditions depends primarily on the reliability of the internal combustion engine startup. For this purpose, a means of preparation of heat from external heat sources. In the context of the autonomous functioning of the machine it is necessary to use its internal sources. This can be accomplished using a heat recovery system of the internal combustion engine.   • The results of the research the reliability of the wheel bearing of the front suspension of the car VAZ 2190

    This article presents the results of studies of the reliability of the wheel bearing of the car VAZ-2190. Represented the company on the basis of which was made the collection of statistical information. The urgency of the research. Provide estimates of the reliability of the wheel bearing. The revealed dependence of the reliability of the bearing depending on mileage with the performance of the resulting graphs.   • Development of calculation procedure of residual forming of type parts "bush" by electric resistance surfacing with a wire on outer surfaces

    The paper is concerned with development of calculation procedure of residual forming of type parts "bush" by electric resistance surfacing with a wire (ERSWW) using the finite element method (FEM) based on the theory of non-isothermal plastic flow. The adequacy of the design model is confirmed by the experimental data. The developed calculation procedure of residual forming allows to predict the possible axial and radial movement of type parts "bush" by ERSWW of outer surfaces in a single layer, that allows to make a decision on the feasibility and appropriateness of technology ERSWW during restoring of type parts "bush".

  • Comparison of finite element modeling and analytical approach results for oscillating rod structure with crack

    the paper considers the comparison of natural modes for the first and second transverse oscillation modes obtained by numerical simulation and finite element package of analytical calculation of the core model with an elastic element based on the application of the Euler-Bernoulli hypothesis. The analysis compared waveforms for different values of the defect shows their satisfactory agreement.

  • Application of extra parts for the repair of gas turbine turbochargers boost  internal combustion engines (for example, TKR -6)

  • On the mechanism of formation of hexagonal ferrite BaFe12-hAlxO19

    The paper discussed the mechanism of formation of polycrystalline hexagonal barium ferrite. The influence of alloying elements on the location of Fe3 hexagonal block R, on the border of hexagonal and spinel blocks (RS). It is shown that the presence of weakly diamagnetic ions or dopants in these positions provides specific properties of hexagonal ferrites and their practical use.

  • Research of devices of registration of ionic current in the combustion chamber

    In article the comparative analysis of various versions of circuitry solutions of realization of devices of registration of ionic current, is made, theoretical justification of almost known advantages and shortcomings of the considered devices. In article are given the experimental data obtained at registration of a signal of ionic current by various devices. Is made processing of oscillograms and shown qualitative advantage of the device of registration of ionic current with the stabilized boost converter for the solution of problems of registration of a signal of ionic current with increased requirements to quality of a signal.

  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of the automated search of the optimal route of transportation of wood with regard to emerging risks

    In the article proposed indicator of the effectiveness of the implementation of an automated search of the optimal route of transportation of the wood. An example of evaluation of the dispatching process of extraction of timber from the cutting area, with example calculations for two cases. Conclusions are drawn about the possibility of its use for evaluating the effectiveness of information systems.

  • The Analysis of EXAFS Spectra with Strongly Correlated Structural Parameters

    The technique of determination of local atomic structure in the vicinity of absorbing atom in the case of the presence of strong correlation between fitting parameters is proposed. This technique is applied to three test signals simulating the Pt L3-edge EXAFS spectra of Pt/Ag bimetallic nanoparticles. The test results demonstrates the improvements in precision of determined parameters comparing with common technique.

  • Level generator for gaming applications

    Currently, there is a certain quantity of different game level generators. However, most of solutions in this segment have typical disadvantages, such as lack of versatility, specialization on specific game level types, game logic or incompatible output data. Some of these solutions require additional software or special hardware, when some of them are encapsulated in a gaming application without any possibility of interaction with user. These problems could be solved by developing partly-automated universal game level generator that supports certain level of human control. Proposed approach involves partial automation of the process of creating game levels. Designed generator is implemented as a dynamic link library that contains all necessary tools for generating game level. The library is the main part of the software package. This library implements several different methods of generating game levels that include functions for generating basic path, creating static geometric objects and placing interactive game objects. This software package also has specific tool for game level designer that allows declaring and designing pluralities of basic level elements which are used by the generator.

  • The environmental effects on the vibrational properties of individual carbon nanotubes

    In this paper the environmental effects on the vibrational properties of individual carbon nanotubes were studied by means of Raman spectroscopy. The individual nanotubes were first synthesized by catalytic chemical vapour depositon method. Then their geometric structure was determined by electron diffraction and high-resolution electron microscopy. The intrinsic experimental relationship between RBM frequency and the tube diameter was obtained and certain deviations from the expected 228/d relationship were found. The effect of the substrate was identified as the most probable explanation for these experimental observations. In order to quantify the origins of deviations, we propose a comparison between our experimental data and calculations performed in the framework of elasticity theory.

  • Combination of Raman spectroscopy and electron diffraction for the structure analysis of carbon nanotubes

    In this paper a method for the atomic structure analysis of single-walled and multi-walled carbon nanotubes based on the combination of Raman spectroscopy and electron diffraction is presented. We discuss the main criteria of this method and give an example of index-assignment of individual double-walled carbon nanotube. We argue that the combination of several techniques gives the most accurate and unambigous structure identification.

  • Psychophysiologically motivated method for estimating the amount of information in an image

    The paper proposes a method of calculating the amount of visual information in an image. The method is based on the model of local analysis in the early vision. We are talking about the information perceived by an observer under certain conditions, not about the information contained in the raster image per se. Simple striate cortex neurons respond to the simple visual features of image, for example, the bright stripes in a dark environment, and the brightness gradients. To evaluate the amount of information in the image, it is possible to take the ratio of the number of activated neurons to the total number of neurons in a model. It is necessary to consider the angular size of the image to calculate the value of the estimate.
